When it comes to scholarships, here are some of the most frequently asked questions.
What is a scholarship?
A scholarship is a financial award for a student to further their education and is not required to be repaid. BASIC scholarships are funded by generous private donors and foundations. These scholarships are intended to be added to other financial supports you receive.

How many scholarships do I qualify for?
As many as you are eligible for. There is no limit. You can be awarded more than one scholarship.
How do I receive my scholarship funds?
An awarded scholarship is mailed directly to the student once the completed proof of enrollment is provided to BASIC. In order to avoid delay ensure your mailing address is up to date.
Can I get a scholarship if I take a break from school?
Yes. While some scholarships are only available to high school seniors many scholarships are open to anyone attending college, regardless of age or time off.
